Seems Fixed...

Sorry for the instability in L4D2... Seems to be fixed now. Had to flash BIOS, tweak some settings, etc. Now I've got my computer clocked 300MHz HIGHER, running 7 degrees cooler consistently, and so far no crashes. Played a level of L4D2 single player, some Mirror's Edge, AB, etc. Seems like its working.

Nice! 7 Celsius, that's major! So I tested my rig with OCCT last night, 57c is the hottest that any of my cores got to. You should give it a whirl, it only takes an hour, and it outputs several graphs at completion.

Also there are 10.5 ATI drivers.

I'd like to do some jigglin' tonight.

So I found out that the 930 is actually a nice chip that's a successor to the 920 rather than a crappy re-bin. Same process, but they all seem to clock quite well. I think I may have a few smaller issues at work. Last night's progress was significant though. Several hours of super high CPU use. One crash. I'm working with it now to see if I can get the stability up a tiny bit more.

Just read this... (this is why I made it out on the chopper and you guys were dead...)

There's only room for one in the escape vehicle this week - whoever reaches it first survives; the rest die. Chose the moment of betrayal carefully, you still have to evade the horde.
Next week: Headshots only.

I'm up for some playing tonight probably pretty late. (new synth parts showing up today)

We tasted zombie meat last night! Nice teamwork went down. We are becoming a professional team of zombie exterminizers! No crashes on my pc either. It's idling at 35C ish, and hasn't gotten much over mid 40s during play.

The one time it crashed the other night I had a wee spike in temp, so I'm not sure what happened. Maybe some briefly intensive background task or something like that.

Going to make a few minor adjustments now, just to make sure things are totally happy.
