Did you download the extra mission from them? It's an extra 4-5 hours of play. I'm on my second play through now, and about to be able to try the extra content (it wasn't available yet on my first play.)

Just aquired the steam copy of
Mass Effect, for 50% off! ($9.99) - Thanks R3cogniz3r!
I also grabbed the two add-ons, which are now compatible with steam.

I did not but no thanks to the no calling me back bastard I became a data recovery mastar. I may be able to install mass effect and replace the game save files with the recovered stuph to play possibly.

Sorry about that. I had about the busiest week of my life. I take it you've solved the problem (being the data recovery mastar.) Did you get the drive that wouldn't show up in the BIOS to work? If not we could still try it out here. I should be a lot less busy this week. I finally got our Hawaii office setup (all by remote methods unfortunately.)

The drive spins up but BIOS doesn't recognize it. I don't know how I could have shorted them out but something like that had to happen.

One thing you could try is seeing if your BIOS has a spin-up delay. It's possible that it's taking too long for some reason. You could increase the delay to compensate. I've had to do this once before on a work computer. Then it worked fine. Doubtful though.
