I am going to post links here for traveling in Portugal, Spain, and Morocco. No reason. Just thought it would be cool to have a place to post links about traveling in Portugal, Spain and Morocco. In particular the links might pertain to traveling in Portugal, Spain, and Morocco in the month of September. Again, no real reason. Just a good place to put such things. Feel free to post travel links for Portugal, Spain and Morocco that may or may not have something to do with travel in those countries in the month of September if you also would like to.

Sounds like it is pretty damn hard to fly from Morocco to Lisbon.

The main airport of Morocco is Casablanca.

There seems to be only 2 airlines in Morocco. The first is Regional Air lines but their site is all in French. They have Lisbon listed but I can't get it to come up with flights.

The second is Royal Air Moroc which tells you to call them at 1-800-344-6726 when you click search. When I called they said the Sat 9/22 flight is all full. Seats are available on the 9/21 flight for $250 USD oneway Casablanca to Lisbon or $290 USD oneway Marrakesh to Lisbon (connecting in Casa). They said they were the only airline that flew to Lisbon but I don't believe much of anything that guy said.

The only Portuguese airline I can find is TAP Portugal and they don't seem to fly to Morocco.

Vueling flies a 1hr 50min flt from Barthelona to Lisbon (at 6:40pm) for around 50E and a 1hr 10min from Madrid for around the same price. This might be the best option if we could find a cheap way to get from Moroc to Spain.

ClickAir also flies Barcelona to Lisbon for 50E at 6pm. On top of that they have flt from Marrakesh to Barcelona (Sat. only it looks like) for 90E from 11:10am-2:25pm. They appear to have a flt Friday at the same time from Casablanca for only 32E.

EasyJet has a 30E flt Friday from Marrakesh to Madrid but it doesn't land in Madrid until 1am - which would be perfect if it was Lisbon and the next night - but alas no one flies to Lisbon from Morocco. Their Sat flt is 50E but gets in to Madrid at 10:15pm. They do have a nice 25E flt Saturday from Casablanca to Madrid that gets in at 5:45pm which could work.

Ryanair flies from Marrakesh to Barcelona too but their shitty website says there are none available that week.

Moroccan airline Atlas Blue has a flt from Marrakesh to Barcelona departing 4:40pm and arriving 9pm for 50E. Must make a stop with those times. They also have a 30E flt to Madrid from Marrakesh on Friday (1:30-5:30).

I suppose whichever of the flights is relatively inexpensive and doesn't waste too much enjoyable time in either Spain or Morocco would be good. Is the flying home day Sunday?

So it seems we have a few options, none fantastic. Getting from Moroc to Lis on Saturday means either:

a) Casablanca - Madrid (EasyJet 25€ 2:05p-5:45p) and then Madrid - Lis (Vueling 50€ 7:05p-7:20p)
At a total of 75€ - this is the cheapest.

b) Marrakesh - Barcelona (ClickAir 90€ 11:10a-2:25p) and then Barc - Lis (ClickAir 50€ 8:05p-8:55p)
Much more expensive at $140€ - but it means not having to backtrack.

The other option would be to do it in 2 days - grabbing a 30€ flt to either Barc or Madrid and spending a night and day in that city before jumping the 50€ flt to Lisbon on Sat. That gives us an day to explore either of those cities, but means some additional cost to sleep in a € country and one less night in Moroc (tho we could go earlier).

If one of these seems like a clear fave than I think we might actually want to book in advance - even it means locking us in. Worst case scenario we change our plans and eat the 80€.

Leaving early for morocco and then spending a day in a different part of spain might not be so bad. But I'm probably ok with whichever option.
