The wireless X360 interface and one pad. All I can say is that it is THE perfect controller. Period. (well, except maybe the Joymaster and Arkeg where old arcade games are concerned) Fast accurate control, plenty of range, comfortable as hell, works instantly with every game/emu I've thrown at it, and it's all set for the whole "Games for Windows" thing. Highly recommended for PC control (for things that are better played without a mouse and keyboard.)

I will pick up another pad to go with it soon.

For my living room PC, I have:

Black Lian Li case with the round silver feet. (looks like an AV component, with flush brushed black face)
Core 2 Duo (stock speed as I want it cool)
1GB DDR2-667 (would have used 800, but for playing emus, movies, cartoons, etc. I figured 2 channels of 667 would be more than sufficient.)
Passively cooled 7600GS (fast, quiet, etc.)
400GB 7200.10 (soon to double this for mirroring)
I use the onboard Realtek "HD Audio" chip. Sounds pretty good.

I use a logitech wireless mouse and keyboard which have better range than the MS ones. (though I like the MS ones a bit better other than the range thing)

Anyway, it's loaded with all emus, plenty of games, tons of TV, cartoons, movies, etc. Was pretty cheap to build overall.

Now I just need to get a better TV. It's a flat CRT with component ins, which isn't too bad, but a nice LCD would be perfect.

Now I'm just ripping my PSX and PCECD games to ISOs to stuff on the HDD, so I don't have to swap discs. Weeee!!

And once you've aquired the second pad, I suppose some Money-Puzzle type exchanging will also be needed.

Yeah I will definitely be picking up one of those guys for pc play. I don't know if I have mentioned it but I have been 360-in to the max for the last few weeks thanks to the firmware gods.

Played Need For Speed Carbon for 10 hours straight (no joke), slept for 6 hours, took a little walk, and then played it for another 10. If you haven't played Carbon it is way fun (but honestly a bit easy).

Tomb Raider Legend is definitely the best Tomb Raider game since the original and way more fun on the 360 than the vanilla Xbox. I am about 5 levels in and planning to devote some good time to it this weekend.

Tony Hawk Project 8 is nice THPS affair but with the very cool new feature of slow mo trick creation - it is a good progression of the series but probably wont spend more than a few hours on it.

With a good 4 player game of Tiger Woods 07 I finally understand why people are so nuts about the game. Oh for a good Wii golf game!

I played a little bit of Viva Pinata! but I need to spend some more time with it.

Overall I have been pretty happy with the system. It is obvious that I would be getting a whole lot more out of it with an HDTV though.

Got the second pad today, and a second wireless adapter, (so I can bring the pads upstairs to play in bed in HD, or to bring them down to the living room to play in SD, but bigger. So two player is in full-effect on both floors of the house.

I beat Carbon a while back on the PC. It was a lot of fun actually. Terribly cheesy dialog, but what can one expect of a street-racing game?

It looked VERY nice in 1680x1050 with details maxed. (never dropped below sync) I think I liked Most Wanted a tiny bit more though.

Tomb Raider Legend was fun, and I played it for a little while. I may pick it up again though, as I could really use a good adventure-type game right now. I slowly winding my way through Twilight Princess, but I need a bit more grit to compliment it. I'm not getting my total-action fix right now.

I want me some mo-fuqin' BioShock damnit! That would make me quite happy.

So I was having a wee spot of trouble getting the interface to recognize both pads. (the manual, (if you can call it that,) was no help) Anyway, a couple minutes more of playing around, and I got them working perfectly. I've never used a more elegant control system for non-mouse/keyboard games on a PC. Simply beautiful. If you play any games at all on the PC that work well with sticks (racing, flight, emulated, etc.) you must use this setup. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. And, if you're an X360 owner, (which I'm not,) all you need is the $19 adapter, and you're all set. The ol' Joymaster is seeing very little action these days. I may end up selling it, but I haven't decided yet. It's a little early for that, but I am really enjoying the 360 pads. Can't wait to see their implementation with the whole "Games for Windows" thing (except where the mouse and keyboard are still the supreme method.)

The Living Room:

27" flat CRT TV with component.
My Tapco studio monitors for sound.
Lian Li black aluminum AV component-style case
Core 2 Duo (E6300)
1 GB DDR2-667
2 400GB 7200.10 (mirrored)
Passively cooled 7600GS
2 Wireless 360 pads
Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard combo.

Absolutely everything can be done from the couch, comfortably, concisely, and anything that isn't being used can be stored in the drawer in the coffee table. The box has cartoons, movies, shows, games, emus, etc. It's complimented by the Wii. Between the two, all aspects of electronic media and entertainment are handled for this room.

I'll explain the bedroom setup later as it's a lot more complicated and cool, and I'm getting a little tired.

Yes... It's strange. It takes it a little longer to figure out what it's doing if it's been on another interface. So, if I have it set up upstairs as a single controller, then bring it down to the living room where the other one is, they both try to be pad 1. So, you have to sync 2-3 times, and it works. I'm sure this will get worked out, and is possibly just because of my wacky and fairly unique case. Vista 64 mostly single player upstairs, XP64 downstairs mostly multiplayer. I'd really like to get some form of Vista on my living-room system.

They released a new driver for the 360 controller in windows 7! When you push the guide button, you get status and battery level! Cool, but you still cant turn the thing off w/o jiggering the battery...
