Also, that Optimus OLED keyboard is supposed to be released very soon at $399. I'm going to have to try VERY hard to talk myself out of it. I'm not sure I'll succeed either.

Crrrazzzzzyy!!
...but not that cool.
"It is a well established fact, that friction results in wear to your mouse..."
Duh! Golly, if only my mouse didn't wear out so fast!

Wasn't so interesting in the wear department, just that it can float evenly. I bet it doesn't work so well near a CRT though.

I bet if you covered an entire table with the patented mousing surface, you could have a nice game of hovermouse air hockey.

That is an excellent idea. You know, if we covered roads with the same patented mousing surface, we could implement mag-lev cars too. Also, if everyone were to where special patented helmets, and we put the special patented surface on the ceiling, people would be somewhat shorter. One just can't lose with this technology.
(actually wouldn't mind trying it out though, as I'd like to test their claim of it hovering exactly one centimeter over the surface at all times)

Those Crazy folks over at CrazyPC would be elated to have their patented technology used in so many applications. They would make a million dollars.
Speaking of magnets, You get the iron boots that allow you walk on inverted surfaces (as seen in the trailer) plenty early in Twilight Princess - very cool addition.

Optimus-103 will use black and white displays (B&W is perfect for 95% of all tasks a keyboard requires). Color will come later at a greater price.

That keyboard seems more like a piece of art than an actual input device. I'd rather spend $399/$1400 tatooing the bottoms of my feet. Is it just the cool factor that people want to buy this keyboard? Can you use your keyboard for a realtime display that could update at faster than 85htz? That might be cool - and distracting I mean I don't look at my keyboard when I type on it so...
