Ooh I must give it a listen before Friday's show.

I caught the Modest Mouse pre-tour show last night at the very cool Wiltern. Things were a little bit rusty after 2 or 3 years and the sound wasn't too well tuned - but other than that it was pretty awesome. The band has something like 10 people in it now including 2 full kit drummers. The really cool thing was 3 or 4 Built To Spill-esque extended jammed out new takes on old song that rocked the crowd. They played zero songs off of anything before Moon/Antarctica before the encore when they very much thrilled me by playing an amazing rendition of Dramamine.

The first time I heard Dramamine was at the OFH like 15 years ago or something. I have always really liked that song.
