Vibrations are cool and all, BUT PAIN...NOW THATS A SENSATION! I figured if I cant yet stick a couple plugs in the back of my neck in order to feel the game, I can at least hook a couple 20,000 volt contacts to my xbox controller. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this new mod, the XShok controller is created simply by replacing the vibrating motor in your xbox controller with a 5volt DC relay and a 20,000 volt pest shocker. Getting lit up in the game means getting lit up in real life. If I manage to live long enough to build it and try it, I'll let you know what the future of gaming has in store for us. 4 player Halo will never be the same.

... making all new driftwood flatware, dishes, and accessories. All for the sole purpose of eating fresh ramen, straight from the cup. One of my favorite things was drinking a decent Cabernet and Pinot Noir out of rinsed out Gatorade bottles. We need to attempt to secure the mush, because it may be hard to get the closer it gets to the trip. We need mush and wine. Perhaps some beach-aid too. We're definitely going to have to set up the log jump again too, even if we aren't in the same spot. There's nothing quite like running up a fifteen foot log and diving into the sand. Damn right. Over.

I would absolutely not be drinking Yuckot Noir out of a plastic Gatorade bottle on the oceanic excursion. Totally not recommended. The Cabernet in a glass is pleasant, silly and fun without being disgusting. It also fits the environment much nicer. I'm personally not a big fan of Yuckot Noir in a plastic bottle at all actually. Not bad once in a million years though. You're welcome to enjoy some as you see fit, but I doubt many of the monkeys will find it preferable to a good old fashioned non-sandy glass of Cabernet. A glass of Cabernet and a bowl of presstabs are all any beach inhabitant needs. (Oh, and plenty of Coors Light)

Anyway, if you want to hike nearly a mile with wine-glasses that's up to you, but coming from someone who's been there, I sure as hell would not. It would be cool and everything to have nice glasses down there, but it's a rather ridiculous notion when the logistics are considered. The Monxors all drank the wine with me from the rinsed out Gatorade bottles. No complaints. I (Me personally, not speaking for anyone else, just on my own behalf, (just thought I'd make that clear,)) wouldn't take thE itEms you speak of unless I was with my lady. I don't like them any other way. No point as far as I'm concerned. (Me, the one writing this.) I do need to find the MushZors though. And lots of Beach-Aid TM. And what's wrong with a nice Pinot Noir? I can't stand the Shiraz persuasion myself. (Once again this is my opinion and doesn't necessarily reflect the views of the other m0nX0rs.) I like a good Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Bordeaux, or Chianti. I even had a pretty good Red Zinfandel the other day. Of course it cost around $30 a glass, but it proves that that particular variety can be good at least at some level. I had several such glasses of varying types the other day. I had a similarly priced Merlot, that was absolutely delicious. Certain people should be joining me at the Cigar Bar at the Newcastle Golf Course. It's so nice up there, and so few people come in that I've pretty much had the place to myself. (Drinking wine and practicing my pool shots a wee, while listening to Jazz and stepping out onto the viranda.) Sound good to anyone else? I usually go up there during the day on weekends.

Well I certainly have never had a $30/glass Zinfandel...but what I have sampled has put Zinfandels in general at the bottom of my preferred wine list. I actually really enjoy an occasional chilled Pinot Blanc or other nice crisp white variety these days. But particularly Cabernet and also a nice Pinot Noir are still the tops in my book. The last wine I had that I absolutely loved was a 1999 L'Ecole No. 41 Cabernet (Columbia Valley, WA). 5 stars all the way.

As for the gatorade bottles, I think we brought plastic cups...but used em all, or we were rationing them, or something...and the gatorade bottles held more, collected less sand, and were less easily knocked over by raving lunatics.

I've read that 1999 california wines are the nice item right now. I had a Russian River Valley 1999 Cabernet the other day that was pretty.... oh, wait a sec, you tasted it.

Yes it was quite nice. I am probably gonna be making a "wholesale" wine purchase in the next week or so if you want to get in on it. I think I will actually request specific bottles this time.

I would love to get in on that action yo! I pretty much just drink wine now. I really have never liked beer much. I basically started drinking it because it was convenient. If I had a decent wine stock like I used to, I'd never need to taste beer again. Oh, and that Zinfandel as good as it was is still not up with the better varieties. I have the multi-thousand page wine guide thingy for this year, but someone is borrowing it. I need to get it back.

I've got some peruvian red wine of some unknown variety which could function as some kind of beach-aide.....
also otokoyama sake from cups made of driftwood is probably a bad idea (because of the driftwood) but i do have some of that around if anyone is so inclined....

I could also get some gato negro and dead rabbit ridge....
