i just bought a rumba! as you can imagine, i am a tad bit skeptical about letting a fully automated robot loose in my house, as anyone would be i'm sure. if the machine failed, is it possible for it to attack people? this situation has been considered by the three laws of robot, right? the moment it starts nudging me in my sleep to get up and make a mess so it can clean, i'm making a run for the hills! i also plan to modify it to clean dishes, take out the garbage, empty itself on my roommates pillow, and dispense keg beer. but it needs a name...and this is where you, my monkeys, come in. suggestions? thoughts? ridicule?

How about adding a big arm on it with a hammer or axe on the end. Then you can have it fight and win you money.

Whatever you do, make sure you name it Orlando. This is VERY important. If he starts badmouthing you around the house, call Moltar. He'll take care of it for you.

good ideas from all you! especially the battle rumba idea, which i would only do if someone else bought one and did the same thing. i'm not buying two rumbas only to see which one i modded and made more deadly before it destroys the other one. these things are $200/unit.
here's my possible names list thus far: nimba, danzon, fruity, damnit, orlando, kristin, and ryland. if i equip it with an axe, its name will be danzon. if i upgrade it's motor for super-sucking, its name will be kristin or ryland. if i mod it to dispense caprisun, its name will be fruity. if i mod it to bad mouth me, its name will be orlando. if i don't mod it at all and leave it with its stock intelligence, i will name it damnit or bumpy.
who wants to battle danzon?

I think we need to invite some toddlers into the fold. Equip them with battle axes and body armor, and send them into the ring with your as-yet-unnamed brother of donut robot.
I would not only pay to watch toddler vs. vacuum robot, I would volunteer my very own toddler.
