wow. you could probably build that same setup for the cost of one alienware gaming rig. i wonder how hard it would be to remove the bezels on the monitors and mount the LCDs flush with one another.
It probably would be hard to take them off. There may still be some space between screens though. If the edge behind the actual screen was small enough though, you could probably make up for it by curving the screens toward you like in that picture. There is a little less than half an inch on the sides of the monitor I have on my desk here, so I doubt there is too much overhang on the inside. Top and bottom could be a different story I suppose though. They just need to hurry up and lower the cost on OLEDs. Then you could have a roll-out screen that you could curve or leave flat.
