I've been thinking about them for a while now. They run MAME, most other emulators have a GP port as well. Quite happy with the DS right now, but one of these days, I may have to pick up one of these. They really aren't that expensive. They're actually quite a bit cheaper than the PSP. They don't have the 3D capabilities, but that doesn't really concern me all that much.
