Nice eh? :D That docking bar thing at the bottom works exactly the same, with the zooming, and the rolling, and the hurting... I'm going to install this on my system when I get home too. It doesn't suck resources, it's smallish and concise, and it sets a system restore point when it installs, so you can kill it quickly if you don't like it. You can right-click on the title bar of a window and it will roll up too. Weeeeeeeeeeee!!! Now I have the cool appearance and UI functionality of OSX, but on XP.

So far none of my MS coworkers have seen it yet. :D

Does it have the osx filebrowser thingy format?
Perhaps more importantly, can you hold shift while minimizing a window to watch it in slow motion?

Yes you can hold shift for a slower, animated minimize.

ThemeXP is what I have been running which has the option of using ZERO system resources...you can style your windows to look like os x but you don't get that dashboard thing...

check it out here:

I have the retail StyleXP software if anyone wants it...although I think you could easily find it using ye olde favorite torrent site...

I'm not so sure I want my windows to look like OSX. I don't particularly like that zoomy thing at the bottom. Remember I use all those icons on the bottom already.

I have been using StyleXP on this here laptop for quite a while - tho it is the kind of thing I setup one day just messin around and I have never touched since. I use a modified version of the DameK skin.

The dock/dash/whateverthehell is optional. It's just nicer all around though. I don't normally even use themes (not even the XP theme) I usually switch everything into Windows Classic mode, because it's simpler. Well, this thing is actually fast and efficient, AND it looks cool. The way I have it set up at home is much better than that screenshot above from my work system.

I just used a stripped down corona theme...it doesn't overdo the start menu thing but I like the look over the stock xp look.

I can hear teh 3ndar scoffing in disguist right now. A while back I had my desktop all mac-ed out, and got an indignant "why would you want to make your PC look like a mac!?" from him.

Because it looks damn good bee-hatch!

Indeed. OSX is one of the best looking OSes that I've see (besides maybe Irix on old SGI Iris workstations.) I think a better question would be, "Why would you want Windows to look like Windows, when it could look better?" I will always prefer PC hardware, but Windows is ugly.

I would actually like to try running the entire thing on my PC. As in the version of OS X that runs on x86. This would have to be dual boot of course, im not that crazy.

It only runs on certain hardware, and it's a pain to install. If you can get it running though, I guess it's pretty cool. They'll probably just release it someday anyway though. I'll wait for that, so I have driver support.
