Anyone heard much about the game
EVE online - a more than 2 year old MMO? It is set in space and looks to resemble Homeworld a bit.
It came to my attention after reading
this intense article about a corporate sabotage that took place in the game world (click the images to read the article). Crazy stuff!

No one has heard of this?
So here is
another short article about the currency system in the game being used in teh real world. If you never read that last article I posted it is definitely worth a look.

I've heard of it, but I disregard all games that require monthly fees. Which is why Guild Wars is the only MMOG that I've ever played. (and it happens to be a good one too) I think GW is proof that monthly fees are completely unnecessary if the game is good enough.

My friend James has been playing it ever since it came out...and he has been teamed up with about four other players and they aren't even close to getting all the stuff you can get in that game even with writing scripts that auto mine for money etc...super time eater to the extreme - I actually installed it and was going to play since it reminded me of Elite but then I realized that it was just too much of a time eater...
