Admiral McNevin's Injury Report.

On Sunday evening i was skateboarding, in a parking garage. I was rounding a corner, just as one of the new kids bailed in front of me. I was passing thorough a car width channel which left me little room to maneuver. The kid gets up and skates across the opening to the channel. I yell "don’t skate in front of me," but it was no good. My wheel hit his foot, and i was airborne, sideways, and i came down directly on my hip.
Hours later, i decided that my pain was worth the 650$ deductible for the ER. I was x-rayed, and examined. I had a fracture to the trocantur, or head of the femur.
The pain was about 2/10 when stationary, but when i moved in a way where the muscles tugged on the fracture it was surely 11/10.
The next day i saw my specialist, she was great. She gave me a month off work, and percoset for the pain. She also noticed a 2nd fracture, and scheduled me for an MRI.
At this point I still haven’t been home; I had been staying with a friend. This friend I now owe a wookie life debt, i couldn’t have done it without him and his girlfriend. This experience has really shown me who my friends are down here. I'm reminded of a quote: friends help you move, real friends help you move bodies. So yeah, i made some Seattle caliber friends down here.
I had the MRI, but still no word. Hopefully Monday.
So today I'm back at home, after a week of camping out at my friend’s house. I had a lot of fun over there; it’s nice to be home, but kind of lonely...
