Excellent work there. I want that lamp. Actually, a single, taller pole would be pretty cool too. Nice stuff. I didn't even see the table in progress.

The lamp has 3 white LEDs in each pole. When buying materials for the table I also got a big 6" by 12' pole which might also end up as some kind of wacky LED lamp...

Segmented floor jobby: 12 or 13 feet of 2" clear vinyl tubing sanded for a diffuse effect, a little more than 200 slices from two different kinds of bamboo, 12 feet of rope light. Every 26 slices or so there is a node from one of the bamboo poles which has been drilled to fit tightly on the vinyl tube. That pretty much holds everything in place.
