Judging by what the Tenebrae team did with the Quake 1 engine, some really cool things may start showing up.
Also, perhaps with a nice big heap of ready to use code sitting in front of them, perhaps our Deadbeat-D0NK3Y-Developers could actually get something done. I think we could pretty easily adapt the Q3A engine to do simple 3D overhead MULE-type operation. (with multiplayer)
