It has been raining a lot in Santa Barbara!
Right now we are actually cut off from LA as a fatal mudslide has had the freeway closed since yesterday morning. It has finally appeared to have stopped raining... for now.
Here are some big shots of the storm damage:
Who'd think rain could do that to a pool?
It ain't no tsunami, but this next shot is my actual parking lot. Teh Flood! Teh Flood!

When I read the full article, it sounded a little less amazing than the snippet did. Still fairly interesting though. I had this picture in my head of a huge chunk of antarctica breaking off and slamming into the southern end of one of the lower continents or something. (Knew that wasn't the case, but that's what came to mind.)

I has imagined an ice berg heading for open sea to melt and turn california into arizona bay... but it looks like its just going to piss off a few penguins.

I wouldn't want to be on the business end of a bunch of angry penguins! They are perhaps the most dangerous of all Sigma Team members. They seem innocent enough at first, but you'll think differently when they're ripping into your soft tissues with those razor sharp beaks. The mind shudders at the thought of that happening.

Actually it's been in the 60s here the last few days. Some tropical storm rolled up here from Hawaii. Supposed to get cold again soon. Perhaps there too?
