Finance people in IT industry

I don't imagine that is the case. Google and the other biggies are corporations just like any industry. The average employee might have a bit more tech knowledge (like the average suit at Chevrolet might know a bit more about cars) but not everyone is an expert tech or a code worm.
I have heard nothing but great things about Google as a company to work for. Do a search (heh) on company culture and you can likely find some cool stuff. I hear the food is great too. That would be cool if you got in with a company like that and I am sure your tech skills would be fine as is.
I am going to follow this up later with something about google I was planning to post before... but I don't have the info right now. what I'm trying to say is ...more later.
