Welcome to the new enderzero forum v2!!

It is finally done!! Welcome to all newcomers,to the faces we haven't seen in a while, and to the faithful monkeys. If you are with Sigma Team then I will have to ask you to leave immediately. Otherwise, enjoy your stay, register, post, read, make merry.

Let me draw your attention to a few of the new features.

From the top down, you will notice a prominent link to tehODK blog. That stands for OctopusDropKick which happens to be a great weblog started by mistasparkle and contributed to frequently by myself and a few other people that hang out here. The subjects run the gamut but the byline summarizes it as "art music tech culture japan." There is a also a fourm over there that you can check out if you so desire or even talk to one of us if you want to get more involved with the actual blog.

You will also notice a new search bar as part of the header. Now you can run quick searches from any page of the forum. By default it searches all 3 forums, so click the Image Search button right below it if you want to further refine your query.

The Forum has been split ...again. We've gone back to the original configuration of a topical and off topic forum. What's here now is going to all be sorted very soon. If you are posting in the Topic Zone (if anyone can come up with a better name for that, by all means...) then please endeavor to make the thread's title descriptive. This is where I get to shake my administrative stick, but any titles bearing simply a members name or something along the lines of "check out this wicked..." will likely be moved or edited. Otherwise just use your best judgment on where thing should go. Sometimes topical threads take a trip through the monkifier and vice versa. No big deal. It won't be too much of a change.

Quick Reply can now be found at the bottom of the view topic page. It works just like the normal reply page but that is still there too if you want access to neat things like bbcode buttons.

Speaking of bbcode, there is some new stuff there too. Most notably are the spoil and spoilbox tags. Putting text in a spoil tag will make it and the immediate background the same color. You then highlight the text with your cursor to read it. Example: [spoil]teh new foram totally roXors![/spoil] The spoilbox tag makes a box like quote or code that is all spoiler text. Obviously these tags are for movie/game/benchmark score or whatever other spoilers. Also added is strikethru text which uses the s tag. [s]Sigma[/s]

The private message notification system has been upgraded to include the sender and PM text in the email that it automatically sends you. Please keep your email address current because if the system tries to send you a notification and it bounces back you will now be locked out of posting until you update your email address.

There are a few other minor changes here and there. You may notice a few things with your text in teh monkay layar thx to j.me.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments feel free to post em right here. I hope you guys enjoy the new look and features. I would really love to get a bunch more people involved. If you know someone that might be interested in contributing to the banter then please let them know about the site. I'm going to try to bring back some interesting topical threads from the past to spark up some conversation and hopefully some of the old faithfuls will make their ways back.

SJ crew - check out the snow trip planning thread here.

Thanks and enjoy!

Woah, that wasn't the taste I was expecting. Looks neat ender! [spoilbox]Enderzero's favorite color is pink[/spoilbox] That collage of pics at the top is great.

Did you have to go through and manually categorize thread by thread when dividing the forum? I hope not.

Thanks man. Yeah I am in the manual dividing process which is a bit labor intensive. I can do it a page at a time by subject title but the interface leaves a bit to be desired. I have only made to last April so far.

I just noticed the Hakusan Ramen sign in the collage. The forum is perfect now.

Looks wonderful my friend! I can't get over my pic and the pic of Agent Bos (who seems to have mysteriously dropped right off of the planet entirely......)

Thx guys. The collage was a lot of fun to do. I wanted something that kinda captured the monkey lair feel and really included all the regulars yet was visually appealing and never a pain to look at.

Oh it is munkery at its finest. phpBB has a built in word converter (censor) but it isn't able to distinguish between forums. I wasn't planning to implement it on all the forums but j.me actually wrote an admin module especially for that purpose.

It may be possible to write a profile module that disables/enables it but you'd have to ask the popcopy president and I don't know him, you might can help me out with that.

Must the new forum include those ugly ass "Last Edited by..." comments, showing how many times I had to go back and correct my spelling and grammar errors? I forget where the php code is (i think in viewtopic.php), but I removed that useless feature when writing a mod for my buddy's forum a whlie back and it was a matter of removing two lines of code.

Either that or can we install a spell checker?

Naaa, I think it is funny to see how many times you messed up.

(Does it say somewhere at the top of this thread to post your complaints in here?)
