I just got a couple of bottles of Zi Free (a new version of Zi 0) and let me tell you, IT IS THE BEST EYE LIQUID EVER!!!!!!!! It's stronger than Zi 0, it comes in a smaller, but thicker bottle. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Very good stuff. I recommend it to anyone that likes Zi 0.

using Zi is like dropping lemon juice in your eye. It was really cool when I first started using it because of how badly it hurt and how well it worked, not to mention that fresh minty aftertaste it leaves behind. But it got to the point where I had to psych myself up before using it because I could anticipate the pain I was about to inflict upon myself. Now I stick to clear eyes, I don't have to take a deep breath before I use it and it works just as well and quick as Zi, no fresh minty aftertaste though. Anyone still use Visine? Using visine is like like dropping tap water in your eye.

Zi Free is more like sticking Vick's Vaporub in your eye. You can actually smell the minty-freshness. Zi 0 had no odor, and wasn't as potent. You know, you could use Rhoto Zi or V. They don't have the minty-fresh, but they still work as well. Then you can still have a cool little bottle, instead of the big dumb Clear Eyes bottle. Zi 0 and Zi Free are the ones that would hurt your little nancy-eyes. :D

I forgot to mention the lack of coolness of the clear eyes form factor, Zi rocks the rockin cool triangle which is great. Although I remember having to squeeze really hard to get a single drop outta the Zi container, which eventually lead to me spraying my face with Zi. It could've just been that one Zi container, it could've just been my weak finger muscles.

Beeeph, I think you need to differentiate between the original Japanese Zi0 and the American version (which has ZERO burn) Zi. If Zi Free is like Japanese Zi0 but sold in America under FDA regulations then sign me up! My right eye is still so messed up. It is twitching right now and my eye sight has decreased at least 20% in the last 2 months. I am going to the eye doctor next week.

See this thread for any confusion on Rohto's American line.

3nder: Kiriko brought me back two bottles of Zi-Free. (It is Japanese.) It's in a slightly cooler triangular container, the cool blast is much stronger, and they clear your eyes even better. (I didn't think that was possible before.) They are newer than Zi-0. Zi-0 is not available here like you said, and I haven't seen Zi-Free here either. Zi and V are available here. Zi has no coolness (like you said.) V has a little bit of mintiness, though barely noticeable, (perhaps suitable for people that aren't into the mega-minto-blast-8800.) I'm trying to locate somewhere that will send cases of these products here, but I have been unsuccessful so far. There is one potential site, but I need a Japanese reading individual to check it out. I can post the link later. I'm hoping they'll start selling Zi-Free here since it is a new product, but I doubt it. It's probably the FDA or something.

Doesn’t the fact that it isn’t sold here worry you?

Not in the slightest. Some of the best things in the world aren't sold here. Some of the worst things in the world are. Rhoto bought the former Mentholatum (sp?) company, so it's not like they don't have resources for internal testing. It's probably one of the largest companies of this type in the world.

Oh oh oh! Zi-Free! I know that. It is called Zi-Free because the little nosel moves around and you can squirt it into your eye easier. I was always under the impression it was the same solution though. I wonder if it could feel better because it is fresher. It is also almost double the price and only has 8mL (or was it 10?) compared to normal Zi0's 12mL.

Yeah, just 8ml. Perhaps it is fresher or something, but I did an eye by eye comparison, and it definitely gives more of a tingle. Try as I might, I can't get the nozzle to rotate in any direction. The box shows it moving, you and Choki have both mentioned the moving properties, but it doesn't move. I thought maybe it came with an attachment or something, but it did not. Weird. Good drops though. I want them here. NOW!!!

McNevin, were you affraid to use the Japanese X-Box controllers when they weren't released here?

S controlers dont burn my hands when I use them.

But they vibrate so much, the FDA warns they'll give you arthritis.

Is the Z-Free container the one with the black cap? I think I've seen that one on the subway. Wow, what a feeling!

You could try adding peppermint oil and maybe some Windex to the standard American Zi for homemade minty freshnessm with eye burn.

Yes, it has a black top. Splendid stuff. Splendid stuff indeed. The "burn" (more of a cooling if you ask me,) is caused by the use of eucalyptus (something used heavily in Mentholatum (bought out by Rhoto) products for years.) If the "burn" from Vick's/Mentholatum vapors hasn't burned your eyes out, odds are that Zi-X won't either. The mythical creatures known as "Koalas" were believed to have eaten these leaves for sustenance. I believe quite strongly that no harm will come from normal use of Zi-X products. So there... :D

At the Rhoto website, look at the level comparison between Zi and Zi-O

I think I'm referring to Zi0, it hurt really bad and it was from japan. Whatever that stuff was that I stole from you because you only had two, and I wanted one. And just so we're clear ender, if I ever again steal from you something that hurts me like that, we are no longer friends.

Great, the 'quote' tag ain't werkin. What's next, is the forum gonna go down again?

Well that may possibly because you need to use a forward slash, more popularly known as a "slash" instead of a backslash.

The slash starts in the bottom left corner and goes up to the top right corner.

It can usually be found just left of the right "Shift" key sharing a key with the question mark.

Is 0 really for zero burn? If so, it's because it eliminates standard ouchy eye-burn. In which case the "burn" you are referring to is the cooling feeling that I'm talking about. (Which cancels out the real burn, which is why you'd use the Zi-0 in the first place.)

***Forgive me if that didn't make as much sense in writing as it did in my brain, (I've ingested about a litre of wine.)***

Do the "*" go on the outside or inside of the parentheses? They are used as punctuation to denote my disclaimer, but they aren't standard puncuation. Hmmmmm...

Time for Zi-Free...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I feel as though two 10,000 volt 80 ampere electrodes have been attached directly to my brain matter. The feeling is akin to being a newborn baby dunked in salt water with a submerged 9 volt battery. :D (My version of the Zi-0 catch-line.)

Bleh... Time for more wine... (It's Grigio, so it doesn't last as long as a good red.)
