I have no extra parts right now. Wish I still had a stockpile. If it doesn't have to be maximum speed, a 2.4GHz Celeron D is around $50 online. It's about the speed of a 2.2 P4. (It's completely compatible, just a lower cache amount, and slightly slower FSB.) It's a really good power to price ratio. It's no 2.8C, but it will definitely push a ton-o-pixels on say a 9x00 series graphics card. Any card below that, and the proc is no longer the limiting factor anyway. I'd recommend it if you can't find a cheap P4. I've built two systems around them, and they aren't bad at all. I put together the systems using an i865, Celeron 2.4D, 512 DDR266, one with a Ti-4600 and one with a 9700 Pro, and they perform quite well.

I've seen pictures of it, but haven't heard when it arrives officially. As always, when they try to introduce a new technology, they reverse it physically. Oh, this new PCI standard is great, but let's flip the cards upside down. Oh, this ATX standard is great, but let's change which side you have to enter the case from. Oh, this BTX standard is great, but let's switch it back to the AT side. Pfft! :D buncha silliness. I think I'll be doing a PCI-Express, BTX, full system upgrade in late spring perhaps. I'm going to have to find someone to buy my whole system though. I've never really sold a whole system. (I've sold most of a system, or individual bits and pieces.)

I'd say so. I'll be selling mine medium cheap. But mine is top-o-the-ol'-line as far as ATX/Intel goes, so it won't be extremely cheap. Not to mention, not everyone adopts the newest things. There are those who still use 386/486 systems. :D Not in my target buyer demographic though. [TEE HEE HEE] If I get enough to get a case motherboard, cpu and RAM, I'll be happy to buy the video card and possibly audio card for it etc.
