I don't know what it is called but I there should be a name for it....

Maybe it is just some obsessive compulsive thing...BUT...it's starting to get to me a bit...

THE PROBLEM: (Happens to me everyday)

Ok so like I am using my computer and opening things up, creating new tabs in my browser, running this and that, opening a bunch of windows etc...and then it starts happening...

I have this need to fucking close everything down on my computer! It gets really bad with opening directories and chrome...etc...I keep closing them...It's like I can't handle just keeping everything open at once... I even know that I am just going to load it up again but then I close it anyway just to load it up again...And lately I can't stand to have anything on my desktop except the trash can...and it has to be empty...

If I am working on something though it doesn't happen...I'll keep everything open...but it happens when I don't have any real direction...is just crazy...I think it is crazy behavior...like mental disodery or something...

Well, either we're both crazy, or it's a common thing. I hate leaving stuff open, even if I'm going to use it again soon. I'm always re-opening things that I could have left open in the first place. It could be a hold-over from when leaving everything open would make your system crash sooner or later. Or... we're just crazy.

I'm the same way. I concur with R3cogni3r, I think it's exactly that, we are programmed from our early computing experience. If you aren't using it now, better close it to save those precious resources. Now resources are like water, but still that ingrained behavior remains.

Or we all could be crazy too!

I do have to say that when I have had like 20 tabs open in one browser window it gets kind of ridiuclous...and so I would have another browser window with tabs split up....anyways probably right...yeah lots of resources...what the hell am I even doing with 8GB of memory...At most I would use about 3.88GB...that's it...but I do that on a regular basis pretty much everyday.
