Firefox 3.6

Post by McNevin »

So I downloaded Firefox 3.6 to see what's what.

You can only use the personas if you are using the default theme. They are pretty cool nonetheless, and I'm rather fond of this persona.

If anyone besides me uses Qute, youcan get the new one here. Too bad you cant use it with a persona.

There is no support for IE Tab or MesureIt, both of which are now available in Chrome. Not tested, but I hear an alternative is Coral IE Tab.

Still no Windows 7 Jump-list support (Available in Chrome). It was coming in Firefox 3.7, but that version is now scrapped, and most likely won't be available until Firefox 4.0 (Est. Early 2011).

As soon as CoolIris works in Chrome, I'll use it at work.

That is indeed good news. I hadn't checked in some time. That means my image server will be just as effective in Chrome as FF and IE. Weeeeehaaaaaaaawwwww.

IE Tab is not a deal breaker. There is a pretty easy work around. Open IE.

But then you have to clear the little box that asks if you want it to be the default browser...

Still...
