Torrent related...

So what are people using for torrents nowadays? Which client and where do you search for reliable torrents?

I use Azureus and BitComet. I don't like BitComet quite as much, (it usually gets lower transfer rates for no particular reason.)

I use these sites to find torrents:

http://torrentspy.com
http://mininova.org
http://isohunt.com

TorrentSpy is the easiest, and has the best layout, but ISOHunt usually has more, better, and more up to date torrents. I occasionally find things there that weren't listed on the other sites.

I also occasionally check Pirate Bay, but they aren't organized as well.

I tried to convert to Azureus but it did some little things I couldn't stand and went running back to BitComet. I have about 15 sites I approve of but stick to those 3 if I am looking for something in particular.

I've basically become a MMA freak of stupid proportions so It's like crack trying to find all the UFCs and PrideFCs. Torrent is certainly the most efficient as far as full card/quality. Not just highlight clips and such which litter the p2p community as bad as the spyware and adware out there, I want full cards...bushido 1-10, Final Countowns, UFCs, and full length.

I've found it particularly hard to find the later matches and a lot of matches at all really, which seems pretty surprising. The PPV fights are TOP notch and if I had a damn cable box I would buy a lot of the fights and certainly record them. I can't imagine them being so scarce.

Unfortunately PrideFC and UFC matches don't catch up to DVD very fast so if you miss a PPV match it could be quite some time before you see it (lest you download it :) ).

I'm a BitComet convert. I used to use Azureus, but BitComet blows it away speed-wise. It reaches double or triple the download speeds of azureus. The only drawback is that no matter how I configure it, it brings my web browsing to a crawl when it's warming up because of how aggressively it connects to peers.

Agent Bos- Didn't know you were such a big MMA fan... I went to the new years eve Pride. With 12 matches It was the biggest yet... Have you seen it yet? The Silva / Arona fight was a war. Good stuff.

I would have killed to be at shockwave 2005.

Thats why I needed to fire up the ol' torrentage. I have Bushido 7/8/ and the Tournament, also, Critical Countdown and Final Conflict from last year and it all culminated on NYE.

I've just finished downloading Shockwave 2005. I wish I had a damn cable box I would have just ordered the PPV.

WAR GOMI!!!!!!!
