I'm definately gonna try this out, looks like fun. You only have to buy the game once, no monthly charges!
You can download and play the beta this weekend. They do periodic beta events where you can download the client and play it on certain weekends while its still in development.
The download is SMALL, I was up and running in about 5 minutes. Amazing. It seems they still have quite a ways to go, but the concept is very nice. The guys who make this game are the group of devs that left Blizzard to start their own company..apparently in protest to Blizzards corprate integration and change of internal focus and attitude (possibly caused by pressure from Vivendi to release their new MMO World of Warcraft).
